Secondary:

  1. FFA Week is next week, Feb. 22-26, and everyone is welcome to participate in dress-up week! Here are the days: Monday - Farmer/Country; Tuesday - Blue/Gold; Wednesday - Plaid/Hat; and Thursday - Tratter and Hat day - red vs green!
  2. NTDT Tryout Clinic: The North Tama Dance Team tryout clinic will be in the MPR on March 15th from 3:45-6:30. Actual tryouts will be in Mrs. Adams’ classroom. Track athletes please let Coach Holbach know if you will be taking part in the clinic. 
  3. Weight Lifting Sign Up: Lifting Schedule  

 

Junior High:

  1. JR High Wrestlers: Please turn in all of your wrestling equipment to Mrs. Jen Boerm this week (Feb. 16th to 19th).
  2. Make sure to sign up for lifting this week.

High School:

  1. Lifeguarding at the Traer Pool: If you are interested in being a lifeguard at the Traer Pool this summer, please see Trish in the office. She will provide you with certification or recertification information. Lifeguards must be 15 years of age.
  2. Esports: Meeting TODAY during lunch in Mr. LaRue’s Room. Very important!
  3. Soccer Sign Up: There is a Soccer sign up for high school girls in the high school office as well. 
  4. Track Sign Up: There is a boy's and girl's track sign up in the office. Please sign up if you plan to go out so Coach Holbach & Roberts have an idea on numbers. Track will officially begin Mon., Mar. 1st after school for both teams.  
  5. College Planning & Financial Aid Webinar: Next Mon., Feb. 22nd, at 5:30 p.m., Megan from ICAN will be doing a virtual presentation about college/career planning and the financial aid process. Here is the link to join the zoom meeting: ICAN Webinar
  6. Sophomores & Juniors: Representatives from Hawkeye will be here March 16th from 1-3 p.m. in the ICN room. Please let Ms. Linck know if you're interested in taking a Hawkeye class this fall. Make sure you have your iPad and social security number. 
  7. Seniors: 
    1. Steve Foster and Ms. Linck will be helping with scholarships in the ICN room during WIN next Tuesday (2/23) and Thursday (2/25).
    2. You may now apply for the North Tama Distinguished Creativity Scholarship. This scholarship is for seniors who have been accepted to an accredited 2-4 year college, university, or trade school. This is for seniors pursuing a career where creativity is important: music, design, drama, dance, art, writing, teaching, etc. Applications are in the Secondary Office. The deadline to apply is April 16th.
    3. Please remember to bring your college acceptance letter to Trish. This also applies to military enlistment, community college, and apprenticeships. Your photo will be taken and shared on social media, and your letter hung in the main office. 
    4. Photos Needed: If you’ve had your senior pictures taken, please turn one into the office. I also need a baby picture! Senior photos will be used for the yearbook, senior video, and newspaper. The baby picture is only used for the senior video. 
  8. Athletes/Cheer: Make sure you are opening up your Varsity Bound app and completing the COVID screen. You should be receiving a daily email to fill this out. This is NOT optional.
