Character Counts and PBIS
North Tama Elementary is a Character Counts school with a PBIS (Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports) component too. We strive to teach our students about good character and the behavior expectations in all areas of the school. We know these are skills and abilities that all students need to be successful and productive employees and citizens in the future.
Mission Statement
It is the mission of the staff at North Tama Elementary to facilitate the effective teaching and learning of positive behavioral expectations and character traits for students. It is our mission to help each child reach his or her greatest potential. Through positive behavioral supports, we aspire to teach life skills that enable children to deal confidently with the problems and challenges they will face in the school, community and the ever changing world they live in.
